DAM180 Design Entrepreneurship

In a pair, we ran a controlled lab study into how adaptive notification sounds shape people’s emotional experience at home, building a speaker with pressure sensor as the research probe and testing it across reading and watching scenarios.

The work moved through defining measurable variables, building the probe, and analysing the emotional and interaction results, all through a research-through-design process. I learned how to apply methods like the Self-Assessment Manikin and to combine qualitative and quantitative data to read how people respond.
