Our team built FamiLiar, an AI camera that alters familiar scenes through object detection and image generation, it then returns them with a delay, prompting the user to re-see their surroundings. It drew on defamiliarization and slow technology to make AI partner in reflection rather than an invisible service.

This course me to reflect on data possibilities. Working through aesthetics of intelligence showed me data is a material, something to manipulate, question, and design meaning from. On the technical side I worked with object detection and generative tool and learned how integrating several platforms into one working system is.
